Recently, the Laskaridian government gained a new overseas protectorate, Perimata. Except one thing separated this new incorporation from the others before it, this one came with a conflict in hand. Since 2019, the small and unknown nation of Perimata has been rocked with a Marxist insurgency. Things only got worse when Gapla incorporated the nation, enraging the already angry insurgents and forcing them to increase their grip on the regions of Ezanipet and Northern Petania. Except, Laskaridia was not entirely new to this situation, in December of 2023, Sean II and V made a visit to the Kedah Sultanate in Malaysia where he met with Indera Rafah and Issa Yusuf. There he established the Royal Kedah Company, a company similar to the British East India Company in the sense that it would facilitate trade, commerce and diplomacy with Malaysian micronations.
On 24 March, Perimata was incorporated into Gapla as a “freely associated state.” This was presumably done by Perimatan officials to 1, improve their intermicronational standing and to settle this insurgency. None of these however, were done. Despite waiting one week, Gaplan officials never made the MicroWiki page, or signed any important documentation that benefited Perimata. So Perimata, even though they could have waited, simply did not have the time. Laskaridian soldiers were not far away in the city of Sungai Petani, and were able to help. Rafah and Abdul Sawar Netak connected via. WhatsApp whereafter Perimatan withdrew from Gapla officially. Perimata joined the commonwealth, and within a day, the MicroWiki pages and flags were uploaded and created. In addition, the governor of the RK Company launched an offensive into Marxist heartlands, driving them back south and recapturing Ezanipet after nearly 3 years of on-and-off insurgent occupation. When asked, Netak stated, “The Commonwealth has done for Perimata what no one could, we are extremely grateful to you.” (Translated). New intelligence reports from the Laskaridian Intelligence Agency however reveal a new offensive is in the works by insurgent forces, however, Laskaridia will be ready. They have already demonstrated usage of drone warfare and counterinsurgency operations to effective extent.
