The crisis in Juniperia: Explained.

On December 2nd, 2023, Tanish Samita and Ishan Jha, a government official and former PM respectively, announced the formation of the Juniperian National Salvation Government (JNSG, NSG) in response to the long period of inactivity after the latter's resignation. Juniperia's government, under Hoorizadeh, has seen inactivity. And has failed to upkeep its diplomatic presence and active government promises. This caused the formation of the NSG. So far, various political groups have taken up resistance. Including the native Cartesian Ghaiatt Liberation Brigade (GLB) and the Pizza Party. On December 3rd, the NSG announced that all other political parties would be dissolved. This prompted the removal of Edmond Yamolo from Parliament by Jha. The movement has since been described as a "coup d' etat" by opposition forces. Jha also stated that if the PM Hoorizadeh does not comply with the orders established by the NSG, then an overthrow of his government would be imminent. Such has prompted concerned reactions from Laskaridia, where Celenic (the MFCA) has announced that Laskaridia would be supporting the NSG, and then de-jure declared the GLB a terrorist group.
