Today, November 9th, Laskaridians who attended Tustin Schools woke up to the 9th day of high winds, and an email from the District saying that schools had been canceled. The raging fire in the Tustin Hangards has caused a large cloud of poisonous smoke to waft through Laskaridia, prompting micronational and macronational responses, and an unexpected holiday.
On Tuesday, a fire broke out in the world-renowned Tustin Hangars, one of the largest wooden structures ever built. The Hangars caught ablaze near 1AM and firefighters quickly responded, but found it extremely difficult to put out the blaze. The structure, which had endured winds and storms since World War Two was exhausted, and firefighters warned of roof collapse if they intensified their efforts. So they allowed it to burn. Later that day, the Hangar collapsed on itself. His Majesty the King has also declared a state of public emergency and holiday.
